Terms of Use
The ground rules for Okaybit, and for the note wall in particular.
Last updated October 13, 2026
These terms cover the Okaybit iPhone app and this website (okaybit.app), provided by Karol Bąk, trading as WebTie Agencja Interaktywna Karol Bąk. By using Okaybit you agree to them. If you have a question, write to hello@okaybit.app.
Okaybit is free and made for adults. It supports everyday wellbeing; it isn’t therapy or a medical service, and it can’t help in an emergency. The note wall is for short, kind, anonymous notes. Unkind, hateful, sexual, violent or personal content isn’t allowed there, notes are checked automatically before they go up, and we can remove any note and block anyone who breaks these rules, without warning.
1. Using Okaybit
- Okaybit is for people aged 18 and over. Please don’t use the note wall if you are younger.
- Okaybit offers small ideas, a place to keep good moments, letters to yourself and a few good news stories. It isn’t medical, psychological or professional advice.
- What you keep in the app (glimmers, letters, moods, photos and settings) stays on your phone and is yours. The privacy policy explains what little travels.
- Stories link to their publishers’ websites, which have their own terms.
2. The note wall
The note wall is an optional, anonymous board of short notes from people using Okaybit. It stays off until you choose to look at it, and you agree to this section before your first note.
What belongs on the wall
Short, kind notes for whoever reads them next: a bit of encouragement, something good you noticed, a friendly hello. Notes are up to 200 characters, and each phone can leave two a day.
What isn’t allowed
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Don’t post anything that:
- is hateful, harassing, bullying, mocking or threatening, or targets a person or group;
- is sexual, violent or graphic, or encourages self-harm, eating disorders or anything dangerous;
- names or identifies a private person, or shares anyone’s contact details, including your own;
- contains links, social media handles, email addresses or phone numbers, or advertises anything;
- is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or copies someone else’s words without permission;
- pretends to be someone else, or gives medical, legal or financial advice.
Please also don’t try to get around the checks, the daily limit or a block, for example by changing words to slip past the filter or by automating posts.
How notes are checked
- Every note is checked automatically before it appears: for links and contact details, against a list of words and topics kept off Okaybit, and by an AI classifier. Notes that don’t pass are bounced back to you and are not stored. No person reads a note before it goes up.
- Anyone can report a note. A note that several people report is taken off the wall for everyone, automatically and for good.
- You can hide any note on your phone, and block whoever wrote it so you never see their notes again. They are not told.
- Automatic checks make mistakes both ways. If something harmful gets through, report it in the app, and write to hello@okaybit.app if it needs more than a report. We act on reports of illegal or harmful content as quickly as we can, normally within 24 hours.
Your notes
- Your notes stay yours. By posting one, you give Okaybit a worldwide, free, non-exclusive permission to show it on the wall to other people using Okaybit for as long as it is up. You’re responsible for what you post.
- Notes are anonymous: other people don’t see a name, account or anything that links your notes together. Don’t put anything in a note that you wouldn’t want strangers to read.
- You can take your own note down at any time from the wall. Notes leave the wall on their own after 30 days, and “Delete everything” in Settings takes yours down too.
What we can do
We can remove any note, limit or block any phone’s use of the wall, change how the wall works, or close it, at any time and without notice, in particular when we think these terms have been broken or someone could be harmed. Because there are no accounts, a block applies to the random key your phone uses for the wall.
3. No warranty
Okaybit is free and provided as it is. We work to keep it safe, kind and available, but we can’t promise it will always work, be free of mistakes, or that every note or story on it will suit you. Notes on the wall are written by other people, not by us, and we don’t endorse them.
4. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by content other people post. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
5. Changes
We will update this page and the date above when these terms change. If a change to the note wall rules matters, the app asks you to agree again before your next note.
6. Contact
For anything about these terms, a note on the wall, or a story, write to hello@okaybit.app.
